customer has spn 11 routing to psap many people misdial causing large

cant chg ac1 9 which spn 11 uses is there a way to use system speed call or flexible feature code which would route all calls to ac1 an eliminate the confusion with 9
 
you can't change AC1 because it won't let you? or you don't have any free number?

but to answer your question, sure you could use a speed call list and assigned the full number (AC1+DID) to the list.
 
if you elimate the need to dial 9, you'll lose station to station dialing. ac1 can be changed to any vacant 1 or 2 digit numbers. to elimate dial 9 you would need to build a pretranslation table to insert it for any digit, but then all calls route to trunks forcing 7 digit internal, which means you need loads of new trunks. each enternal call will require 2 trunks

cant chg ac1 can i use dummy acd or system speed call number pointing to ac1 that way users to call out will dial dummy acd or system spped call which will go to ac1 an system will translate on following digits
 
can i use a dummy acd or system speed call no. pointing to ac1 9 then to call out users dial it to get to ac1 and system translates numbers dial and sends it...people dialing 9 11 my mistake has chicago finest unhappy like i said cant chg ac1 to another number
 
now i see what your posting, my bad. lots of post here on that problem. i route spn 11 to internal security, which is 24/7 and 9,911 to 911 dispatch. can't find a work around unless you add as auth code, which no one wants if a plane hits the building

you could reroute that back to an internal menu stating for 911 dispatch stay on the line,let no response take it to 911 or press any key for the operator.. that gives users a chance to hang up and add's a few seconds of delay
