I have created a custom menu bar. It has a custom help button. and each form has a reference to the cutom .hlp file I created.
I have a function which uses the sendkeys to F1 and I have that function selected in the OnAction property in the Custom help button.
Every time I try to access my custom help file, it opens the Access 2000 help file and rewrites the file location etc.
I am stumped!
Has any one any helpful ideas?

How are ya wabtrainer . . .

You are correct F1 is for Access Help. Even if you trap F1 you still have to go thru the rigors of however your displaying your help files.

So forget F1 and display your files! . . . post your code if your not sure . . .

I cracked it!
i still use the sendkeys function so the user can click on the help menu or F1 and bring up the help file opened on the specific page for that form.
It was all to do with topic no.s
I had to set the topic id to that of the contents page.
By the way, to build the help file I used a freeware program that is very easy to use:
