I need to create a stacked chart as per data below
Stack showing profit and sales totalled for 2000 and same again for 2001 for each company on the x axis. Hope this is clear

2000 2000 2001 2001
Sales Profit Sales Profit
CoOne 1000 500 1110 510
CoTwo 1100 600 1200 500
CoThree 900 400 800 300

Need to setup as follows and then plot the stacked chart:

2000Sales 2000Profit 2001Sales 2001Profit
CoOne 1000 500
1110 510
CoTwo 1100 600
1200 500
CoThree 900 400
800 300

If you are having problems with my explanation, please write to me directly at xlwrdhlp@clarica.com

Many thanks for that help. I just did not think to change my data that way.
Again Tek-Tips to the aid.

jmuscat,

Because you're relatively new to Tek-Tips, it appears you're not yet aware of the "proper" way of "saying thanks" and "giving recognition" for the time and effort it takes for contributors to share, or in some cases, develop, solutions for those in need.

This "proper" method involves "awarding" those "shiny Red STARS" you might have noticed - sort of like the early school years when the teacher awards stars for good work.

The contributors at Tek-Tips receive NOTHING - except for these STARS, so it's reasonably important to show your appreciation in this manner.

Every Tek-Tips member has a "profile" - that you can see by just clicking on the user's name. Every contributor will help out whenever possible, but sometimes it's not possible to help out because of time constraints. In such situations, would-be contributors will probably choose to help those whose profile shows they have already "discovered" the proper way of showing appreciation.

In addition, these contributors will often be prepared to go "way out of their way", in some cases spending "hours" to develop a solution - for those who "simply award STARS".

I hope that in being "straight forward", you can now appreciate the significance of these "STARS". Before I forget, awarding a STAR is simply a matter of clicking on the "Click here to mark this post as a helpful or expert post!" - located in the lower-left-corner of the contributor's posting.

Actually, another thing for you to become aware of, is the option to "mark a thread for email notification". This way, whenever anyone responds to your posting(s), you'll receive instant notification. You can actually go into your "Personal Profile" (top left corner of screen), and change your profile so that you "automatically" receive notification for ALL postings that you post or contribute to.

Because you've not yet marked this thread for email notification, there's a possibility that you might NEVER see this posting again. For this reason, please allow me to make sure your contributor (Indu) receives the STAR you would have issued had you been aware of this "proper" method of "saying thanks".

Please, do NOT issue me a STAR for my posting, as it's not a normal contribution. I want to "earn" stars in the normal manner. Thanks. :)

Regards, ...Dale Watson dwatson@bsi.gov.mb.ca

Many thanks for taking the time to explain the proper workings of the board. I find this forum extremely helpful and am very thankful for all persons that take to time to help out others.
