This may not be specific to Crystal, but does anyone know how to add custom colors permanently?

I'm required to use specific colors in customer facing reports, and so am constantly defining custom colors. I can add my specified colors to the custom colors, but as soon as I close the report, the new color is lost - so when I go in to edit, or create a new report, I have to redefine my custom colors. Is there a way to edit the color palette permanently to ALWAYS contain my custom colors?

Thanks for your time!

I've never heard of permanently editing the colour palette. But what you can do is note the Red, Blue, and Green attributes when you choose a custom colour.

If, for instance, you choose a custom mid-brown for one report with the attributes Red:99, Blue:146, Green:3. You could format a field in another report, by clicking on the applying a condition to the colour of the field of "color(99,78,3)".

Thanks for replying Naith. What you've described is exactly what I do every time. It just gets old, so I thought I'd look for a way not to have to define the RBG attributes each time.

Thanks again.

Hi,
I live in a very rural remote area and there is no-one using Crystal Ver. 7. My question:
When I print an invoice, how do I get rid of the shaded areas that seem to be permanently there - ie: around "Unit" "Price" >>>>>>>. I have tried everything I can with the program so I am sure there is a very simple explanation.
Thanks in advance.
