Cursors preference bug?? 1

Is It just me or is there a bug in the PS Display Cursors Preferences? Almost every time I want to erase or airbrush it switches back and fourth from "Precise" to "Brush Size". Extremely annoying. It has done this on several Mac's and PC's I have used over the years. From PS 5 up to 6 (dunno about 7).

Yes I find this a problem also. I've just learned to deal with it. I hate when all of the sudden you can't see how big your brush is anymore, and you just have to guess.

Hi,

Do you switch capslock on and off. That is the trigger for the precise style brush and the shape of the brush. That might be your problem, you might be hitting capslock and it switches without you noticing it.

Yes, I agree with SPYDERIX. From what you describe it sounds exactly like the "Caps Lock" issue. It bugged me for a few years until I figured it out. Next time you experience the problem just look to the keyboard for the solution!

I never freaking knew that was a hotkey. However the problem is that sometimes when I click on the airbrush and find that the cursor is set to Precise. I would go to preferences and find that it IS set to Brush Size, I would then click Precise and it would go to Brush Size!

Oh wait a minute...(The fog is clearing...)

Ok the preferences only has to do with what settings Photoshop loads up with. So if the cursor is set to brush size, It will be Brush Size when PS loads up. But if you press CapsLock and set it to Precise and then check Preferences, it will still be set to Brush Size.

DOH!, my brain hurts now. That drove me nutz for years.
