I am publishing reports to Corporate documents for users to download. When I make changes and republish to Corp Docs, does the latest report get redownloaded when a user runs the report or do they have to go out again and get the latest version?

I know when I publish universes I have it set so that new ones are pulled down as they are saved. Just curious if the reports worked the same way.

Thanks!

They have to go get the latest one. Otherwise the one on their desktop is the one that gets used.

Ideally, your users should start with InfoView. Then the most current one is displayed. If they want to do something with it, they can download it from there.

For the client, this is an education issue, as there is no automatic way to force the import (without using the SDK).

Yes. They have to retreive the latest on from corp. docs.

OK, thanks Steve. This isn't an issue right now, as our reports rarely change once implemented, but I was curious.

Thanks,
Doug

if you want you can send the document whenever it's changed using send to users option. The user will get the message like you have i document to retrieve or something.

I'll probably just do that. I just need to make sure I send it to corp docs as well (or remove it from there). The last time I sent one to the user, she kept trying to get the one from Corp docs and never saw the changes.

Thanks!
