Does anyone know how to return the current value of a drop down box into a cell withing a spreasheet.

Hi There:

You can use the following code in the change event.

Private Sub ComboBox1_Change()
Cells(1, 1).Value = ComboBox1.Text
End Sub

Troughty,

If your combobox is a control on your worksheet (no on a form) go into the properties window and set the Linked Cell property to the ceel you want the combobox to poulate.

Once this is done, whenever the cbo is changed, this cell will update.

Hope this helps

Hi Leigh,

Have you not seen the text(s) circulating on the internet at the moment (one of which I reproduce below) and the reports in several of today's papers saying that spelling's not important any more, so you don't need help after all. [smile]

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey lteter by it slef but the wrod as a wlohe.
