curious printer problems

We have a windows 2000 server and have a network printer on the LAN. All was working fine up until Tuesday morning and then the printer, an HP 2200 DT with added network card, stopped responding for some users. 2 people in the office could still print fine, but when the others tried they got errors that the printer could not be contacted. I had checked on the server and could not see the printer connected anywhere and cannot seem to reconnect the network printer as the server cannot find it on the LAN.
There are no errors on the printer when a status document is printed and all the users have the printer set up to the correct IP address.

has anyone any ideas on ths as I am definitely stumped.
 
Try to reload the HP printing software on the 2 pcs in question. I've seen HP's disappear a number of times, generally on Windows 9x machines. If you dont have the CD to install from you can get it at:
