CTR+Enter after entering 'google' to become ' fails.

This is the Windows XP shortcut to save time going to URLs.
Please help with this minor problem. I'll pass on some interesting links as an incentive:

1. - free & pay plans for remote access.
2. File Inspector - free unerase program

Thank you, Dave

daveoasis.

This is actually a IE Shortcut(see IE help>contents>accessability>using the address bar) and as such is not an item that you must enable.

Check in control panel>keyboard for your lang & mapping.

Does the "crtl" key function correctly for other items?

I assumed that you are using IE if not please correct me.

Ctrl+Enter does not work in IE6 thread608-1030236

smah is right on (as usual). Autocomplete is probably the culprit here.

Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Autocomplete

The only option you must have enabled for CTRL-Enter to work is Web addresses. The others are optional.

smah - terrific. That did the trick. It would be nice if autocomplete gave a clue.

Thanks everybody for a lot of feedback. Best to all.

daveoasis, do you have any software in common with those other threads? It would be nice to know what other applications that might be causing this.
