Hi

I have an IP Office V2 release 8.0 and I think I have been sold the wrong licences, I think these are for an earlier version of IP Office, can anyone confirm this is right or wrong or am i barking up the wrong tree??!!

I have been sold 2 licences,
171988 1 WAV Tapi-WAV Driver per port IPO LIC- IP400 CTI RFA
171988 1 CTI_PRO CTI_PRO 255

I am trying to set up 3rd party Tapi for some Taxi screen popping software, but its not working properly, 1st party works fine.
I have tried it on 4 different machines with different O/S along with different Tapi drivers, still no joy.
I havent had any problems setting this up before so I am a bit stumped....
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Clive

Thanks

Just found it buried away on Avayas forums, its valid up to 8.1, only set it up on 9.0 onwards before so was comparing it to that..

I can only get 1 extns information showing on 3rd party set up, I can see the I/C calls on the Tapi Monitor program but no call answer info shows up if I answer the call on any of the other phones... any ideas??

Cheers

If you have set TAPI to 3rd party you should see all lines in the PBX.

I assume you have restarted the computer after you changed the TAPI settings to 3rd party? =)
Also as deafult it will not show extensions that are set to "Ex Directory".

But it depends how the applications works, you could test with dialer.exe to see if you get all lines there.

I have used it with Autocabs and it works fine.
Download tapi2
Run software
Ignore 1st party logins.
Reboot PC
Go to control panel-phone & modem-tapi 2 service provider.
Configure
Enter IP address f ipo
Tick 3rd party and enter ipo login password.
Ok

Thanks to all that come up with sugestions, all sorted now...

It turns out someone had already installed tapi and configured it for 3rd party on machine and forgot to mention it to anyone, so when I installed a new instance we had 2 running on the network... not a good idea.

Uninstalled original one and works fine.

Tip.... never assume always confirm

Good the problem is solved.

Shouldn't be an issue with several instances on the network, as most I've had 10 clients running 3rd party TAPI towards the same IPO.

I think caversham4 had TAPI2 already installed and also installed TAPI3... But that should work though.

Yeah, that messes things up =)
