Heres another one. I'm getting a lot of technical questions today.

We are installing CT server as part of a temp CTI solution. This is in conjunction with a large CRM project.
Another project is on the horizon regarding a dialler. We currently have a dialler (disconnected) which needs CT Server to interface with the switch.

My question is: Can we operate 2 separate CT servers with different releases of CentreVU on our networks, also, if we get 2 separate Mapd cards, how do we tell the system which CT server to go to. I can only assume that we program extensions settings into the relevant servers.

Thanks

I do not think you need two MAPD cards. The programming in the MAPD can support up to 12 different devices with 12 different IP addresses/locations for 12 separate IP applications.

If you are looking at adding another CT Server, I would think that you can add another ASAI station port on the Definity switch and associate it in the MAPD with the new CT server. Provided the CT server is IP based.

Not sure 100%

Great stuff. The ASAI station is the key. I have recommended 2 mapd's purely for resilience.

Thanks folks

One question:
Why are you going to use two T-Servers? why not just up the capacity on your existing T-Server to take the increased requirement for your dialler? One point of caution, if by CT server you are talking about the old CentreVu CT, have a look at what is available elsewhere, personally I dont rate centrevu as its too bulky, pretty limited and as it relies upon callvisor as its backbone is limited in its capacity to about 2500 concurrent sessions (remember if you are using recording equipment this very often creates a session alongside the extension etc.) so you may find that it is not really the solution to go for.
If you are in the UK give me a shout with how you get on.
