I need to update patches in my CS1K 6.0 system, can someone give me a summery of what steps I will need to take? The last patching I had to do was on 3.0
It looks like we are staying still at 6.0 for a while.

From what I have read, downloading the current Deplist on to a CF card and issuing a MDP refresh is the quickest way to go, but I’m not sure how to get the patches onto a CF card or how to get them in the system.
I also have a Sig Server that I could use for patching.

PS – Sig Server only, no IP sets at this time.

All Patches are distributed by Avaya via website to authorized users. If you are not familiar with patching systems, then I would not recommend patching the systems yourself.

Not my call to make, wish it was.
Sorry if I made myself sound unfamiliar with patch at all, I just haven’t needed to address patching over the last 4 years. I ran the ISSP report and conflict checker for my site and have found several missing General and Emergency PEP’s.
I have been looking at using the Sig Server for patching the Call Server and it looks like that may be a good way to do PEP’s. But when trying to get the Deplist current, using PDT is that a better way to go? Also when you have more that one PEP with “speecial instructions; those of you that do this regularly do you leave those out of the Deplist zip file and then do them one at time last?

Patching from the signaling server is ok. If you used the MIRCC tool in the ESPL, then the report should have contained a link to download the Deltas between what you have already and what you should have.

For Special Instruction patches, just read the notes for each one in the report, and follow the instructions. Most of them simply call for an INI after installation in order to activate the patch.
