I'm trying to set SIP trunk between cs1ke NRS 5.0 and bcm 5.0

.10 - Node IP (TLAN)
.13 - Sig Server IP (TLAN)
NRS Role Primary

In the NRS this Sig Sr is assigned as static SIP endpoint (H323 disabled), NCS enabled

I get these messages on Sig Server - need help understanding this

Sigserver capture - this keeps repeating

senk1s,

You will need to make sure the BCM SIP settings are config. under the SIP config. with the IP address of your NRS.

Thanks Don6531

I do have the SS/NRS TLAN IP in the proxy field of the BCM

These 2 IPs are in the CS1000 - the BCM IP doesnt show up
These messages happen even when there is no call attempt (they fail ofcourse)

Why would the .10 endpoint register and unregister automatically?

senk1s,

Check the following:

The following list contains several common programming errors which should be checked.

In the BCM or SRG:
1) Under IP Trunks, SIP Settings, Proxy Support, ensure the proxy address contains the NRS TLAN Address.

2) Ensure the SIP URI Map for udp and cdp exactly matches the L0 and L1 entries entered in the NRS Endpoint.

In the NRS:

1) BCM and SRG do not support TCP SIP Transport. TCP is default on the NRS while UDP is default on the BCM/SRG.

Under Configuration, Gateway Endpoint, endpoint x (x = BCM or SRG endpoint in question), change the SIP Transport to UDP. Commit and save the change.

2) BCM and SRG also do not support Dynamic Registration, so Static must be used.

In the NRS under Configuration, Gateway Endpoint, endpoint x (x = BCM or SRG endpoint in question), ensure SIP Support is set to Static. Although CS1000 can use "Dynamic" for SIP between the CS1000, BCM does not support Dynamic but only Static.

Thanks Don,

BCM
1. that is configured correctly
2. sip domain matches in bcm, nrs, ss
SIP URIs match in BCM and CS
NRS L0 - is the sip_domain name
NRS L1 - cdp.sip_domain
<I'll make the changes>

NRS:
1. I do have UDP selected as the transport protocol
in the CS i have TCP (under SIP GW settings)
<Does this need to change as well?>
2. I have static SIP in both the BCM and CS

senk1s,

Everything should be set to UDP on both the NRS end point and the BCM.

will make these changes tonight/ weekend and post back
Thanks again Don
