Hi,

since yesterday we have a problem with the time shown on phones (IP and digital) at one of our customers.
The time shown on the phones has a difference of -1h.
For example. The time at the CS1000 shows 18:30, the phones (all) show 17:30.
NTP sync is disabled. No time difference is configured for the zones. All applications around the switch (ContactCenter, SigServer, ...) have the right time, only the phones show -1h difference.
I have tried to manualy sync the time, set manualy at LD 2, INI, Sysload. No success.
What could be wrong?
I have experience in Nortel Meridian for 10 years now, but never seen such a strange behaviour.

Thanx for help in advance.

I'm not exactly certain of the cause, but I know there were a ton of PEPs released for this version of code. Lots of weird problems. Have you tried updating the firmware on the phones to see if this makes a difference. That can sometimes fix oddities too.

Hi,

thanx for response.
I cant belive that this cause by the phone firmware. Because its the same problem on all phones. M390x, i2004, i1140.
For example the FW on I1140 is 0625C4I, on M3904 its CORE 017 and FLASH 087.
Deplist is also installed, not realy actual, but also not so old.

Does the time on the sets match the time on the PBX itself?

No, the time on phones had a difference of 1 hour. For example, if the PBX time is 17:30, the phone show 16:30.

I have seen this.

For the zones in question do you have State as enabled?

If you have this set to enabled then you need Use DST and Dst ACT should say YES. Other wise the zones will not use the DST time differnce.

You can enable this in EM under zones > time settings > tic the box for Use DST.

There is no time diff configured.

Otherwise, i have set State to DIS for Zone 1 now. I cant check if this works today because customer site is 100km away.:) I will check tomorrow morning. Hope this works.

You might check out MPLR28064, "Daylight Savings Time NTP(Network time protocol) not working". A patch has to be installed, DST turned ON in LD 2 and DST turned OFF in Element Manager.

OK, resolved.

DIS ZBR 1 TIM fixed it.

Thanx for help.
