cs1000 5.5 and srg 3.7

We are doing a 5.5 upgrade on a cs1000. there are 8 locations throughout the system. there are 4 locations with 4.0 bcm 200s with a 1.5 srg that work register fine. there are also 4 locations with 3.7 bcm 200s with a 1.0 srg that do not register and/or act really flakey.
i think it is a compatability issue but our engineers say differently.
anyone have any experience here? I have spent 3 wasted weeks adding patches with no luck.

I ran into a similar issue with SRG 1.0 based on BCM release 3.7. We would get intermittent one way audio, calls dropping, you name it. We upgraded the systems to SRG 1.5 and the problems went away. We also experienced similar issues with SRG 50's running release 1 software also. Those got upgraded to R3 and worked fine.
