My daughter has CS 3.0 shown in her Add/Remove programs. When she tries to uninstall it, it asks for a username and password. She doesn't know what it is, and neither do I. How do you remove it without the password? The computer belonged to her ex-husband.

Google gives lots of Adobe InDesign CS 3.0 links for CS 3.0 - but that appears to need at least win2k to run.

(is it causing a problem on the machine?)

It doesn't seem to be causing any problems. She was just trying to clean out stuff she doesn't use. We didn't know what it was. I saw the Adobe references on Google, but wasn't real sure that was it. This is the first software I've seen that rquires a password to uninstall it.

FWIW, in those cases I've run across requiring the install CD and passwords to uninstall the program I've had success by deleting the stuff manually and doing a manual registry cleanout. Inevitably it will leave fragments scattered about but nothing yet (emphasised yet) that killed the system.

Thanks for the replies, but we're going to ignore it as long as it's not causing problems. She lives in another state and if I had the PC with me here, I might try your suggestion, Ed.
