Hey guys, long story short, I need to change the IP address that is being used on my MG1000E. I know how to change it in the CS1000 side, but how do I tell the MG1000 what it's new address is. Right now, they are not talking. The only way I have found to enter in the address is during initial install, but that is currently not an option.

What release are you on,I think you have to change it in the cs1000e and the MG expansion in ld117, then update dbs, it's been awhile so I'm not to sure.
I think what you mean is that you have the IP configuration done on the system, but the MG1000E needs to change setting to be able to connect to the system.
Connect to port 0 of the MGC card. Procomm 9600, N81
ctrl+OAM
IP settings is displayed and possible to change.
Type it in, scroll through and reboot.
Done.

Hi gurus.
I have got a similar kind of problem and can not change the TLAN IP address. After "Ctl I" and "mgcsetup" some how I can no longer get the prompt to change the TLAN IP address.
When installing the MGC earlier I got all prompts for ELAN and TLAN IPs. I dont know if there is any data corruption or I am missing some thing in the procedure.
Your expert advices will surly help me.

If you cant see the T-lan fields in the MGCSETUP, dont be sad. Just configure E-lan information, and information about Call Server name and IP.

Difference in what you can see in the menu is depending on software on the MGC. (necessary to download the right loadware version when the system is up and running and upgrade the MGC cards).
