CrystalEnterprise.Smtp Error 1

When running a Crystal 10 report with CE 10, I get an error message : address error. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp: (501). It is a valid reprot and runs OK when not doing SMTP e-mails.

When I turn on the notification area and have an e-mail sent when an error is encountered, it sends an e-mail message to a Lotus Notes e-mail server.

Anyone have have a clue what the problem is?

In general, 501 is an SMTP error. The description for the error is "Syntax error in parameters or arguments".

For Lotus Notes, specifically, there is a kb article describing this issue:

Basically, CE only accepts valid SMTP email addresses (john.doe@xyz.com, for example). Lotus Notes or Domino Group names aren't accepted.

Then you need to speak with your Notes Server Admin. 501 is an SMTP error, not Crystal Enterprise.
