Hi All,
I open a web report in my environment and it works fine. When users open it they get an error message stating that the report cannot open for security reasons. The users enter a password and and login id.Does someone know the cause of this problem. It happens when they enter a correct password and ID.

Thanks,

The report is probably saved in a directory to which you have rights which they do not inherit.

Move the report to a public folder accessible by all users.

Hi Naith,

The reports are kept on our network and the database is access. These are dynamic reports not static reports. The problem arises when the user enters a password and login ID.Is it a possibility that they entered an incorrect password or something else. The something else is what I am searching for.

Thanks.

Hi All,

No error message after rebooting the web server. Can someonelse give a solution to this problem rather than rebboting the server.

Thanks,

See faq149-237 and describe your web environment and method for integrating CR. Also give the exact error message. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

Hi All,

The web environment is ASP and the connection is direct and I use crystal 8.5.The error message like I stated earlier pops up only when users in another country try to access the reports on our network. The error message reads "You cannot access reports on web due to security reasons." If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
Thanks in Advance.

I haven't heard of this.

Can ANY users, other than you, access these reports? Do these users have a different version of the browswer? I wonder if this could be an issue of an 'international' version of some encrypstion or security feature. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

CR License is limited to only 7 users. Do you think this is the problem when more than seven users are accessing the reports on the web.

ASP in v8.5 should be limited by license to 5 concurrent users, not 7. But I am not sure how the WCS enforces that. The message doesn't sound like a license message. Are you saying that it works sometimes for some people and not others?

Yes.It works sometime for some users and not for others. So the license cannot be for more than 5 users. thanks.
