Got a quick question regarding crystal reports. Is there a program or a way to create reports automatically by using a macro or anyother way? I am soryy I am new to this stuff. Just trying to help someone out

There are developer tools offered for building reports, check the Crystal Reports Developer version, in particular, the RDC might be of interest.

There are API's as well.

A macro is a tad optimistic, it's a fairly complicated process.

In the most recent version, they have a version of RAS for building reports too.

There is a database that was created using microsoft Fox Pro. The person wants to create a report from this database in XLS format. He is computer literate but not thar much and I am into IT stuff, so he has to create this report biweekly. So I was wondering if there is any application out there or any way to create the report automatically. I showed him how to create it manually but I was wondering if there was any way of automating it. Thanks for your help

You shouldn't have to recreate the report every time. You should just be able to change the criteria and run it again. If you add parameters, you don't even have to change the criteria since it will prompt you. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
