we use blackbaud's financial edge accounting software which uses crystal reports for its reporting modules.

i need to upload that report into monarch for windows for data analysis. the problem is that when i export the print preview report to any of the options (of which there are many) something inevitably goes wrong in the finished export -- usually a field is truncated or a date comes out wrong.

however, the print preview is PERFECT. is there a way to grab the report in the print preview without trying to export it to something else? i guess i'm asking, specifically, does crystal reports create a temporary file when i print preview a report and if so, where most likely would i find it??????

thanks for any help. blackbaud couldn't help me.

What version of Crystal? Generally this is essential information when requesting technical help for any product.

Have you tried applying the service pack?

You might try exporting it to an ODBC data source/table.

If the export is bad, it's the result of a poorly designed report.

Monarch requires a fiel format compatible with it's import to analyze data, so keep that in mind.

For instance a PDF probably wouldn't help much, though it closely resembles the report.
