When I create reports in crystal reports 9 I am usually creating them for the sole purpose of exporting the data to excel so most of my reports are designed to be just columns of data.

However if i need many columns i then have to look for printers that support large paper sizes. Right now i am using a paper size of 11x17 but need it to be wider..perhaps 11x26. Is the printer paper size the only way of achieving this. Do i have to go hunting for a printer that supports a larger paper size or is there a way of specifying paper size through crystal?

thanks

The paper size is the canvas that you have to lay objects on. You can use a plotter driver(HP DesignJet 350C (E/A0)) with A0 paper thats 1100x840mm
I've also used a smaller 6pt font for those 'export' reports

Yeah, the printer paper size (and other attributes) are key to most WYSIWYG in Windows.

Use the Standard MS WIndows HP Designjet 3500 CP printer driver, it will net about 108" when in Landscape.

I was wondering which printer would give me a lot more space
