We currently use Crystal Reports 8 and Info 7.5 with multiple reports scheduled to run automatically at night. We also are looking at providing web reports. Since we do not want to go to Crystal Decisions 8 yet (we would lose some of the functionality we currently use in Info 7.5), is there an advantage to moving up to Crystal Reports 8.5? Is it compatible with Info 7.5? Any known problems?

There are few new features in Crystal Reports 8.5 most of them are around Web reporting, Crystal Enterprise integration and some usability enhancements.
I would suggest you look at the new features doc on the crystal reports 8.5 CD. See if you need any of the new features.

I would personally stick with the Info 7.5 designer as it really is like version 8.25 of Crystal reports (it has a little more functionalty that 8 but not as much as 8.5). Any new features that 8.5 has (that Info 7.5 doesn't) that you implement into a report will not run through the info report server. But like InfoBiggot said if you see a feature you like, go ahead and purchase it.
