Crystal Reports 7 - Install probs on XP Pro

Trying to install Crystal Reports 7 on a users XP Pro machine. Installation seems to progress OK but at the end an error message states CRPE32.DLL not found.

When the application is run the message IMPLODE.DLL not found appears and the program fails to start.

Installation was attempted with local administrator privileges.

Have installed and used this version successfully on Win 2000. Don't really want to buy a new version if necessary since we don't use it a great deal and our firm has no money...

Any help is much appreciated.

Version 7 isn't supported on XP and there are numerous posts here and on other forums about users who are unable to install on XP.

If I where you I would either leave it installed on the Windows 2000 machine or upgrade

if your really that strapped for cash and can't afford the couple of hundred pounds to upgrade have a look on ebay , there is currently a copy of V9 at £4.79 or a V10 Pro upgrade at £152.49
