Crystal Report Field Length Problem

Hello all,

I am new to Crystal Reports 8.0 so please be patient.

I am trying to generate a report from SQL server 7.0. Most of the data comes across fine, but I have this one field that is fairly long, (explanation of billing, about 1500 chars) that will not show completely. I get on the report about 300 characters and then it cuts off. It does not cut off at the end of the word all the time, but in the middle sometimes.

The field length on the database is set at 2500 characters and reads the info in the field fine. I have tried to reset the field properties in the report to unlimited length and "can grow" in the field properties section but it does the same thing. I have tried to rebuild the report from scratch using only that one field, but it only shows the same length as my original report.

Please help.

Are you connecting via ODBC? I have heard that direct drivers sometimes truncate at 255, but that ODBC brings in the entire field as a memo.
