We have installed CR 10 PRO on 3 Workstations,
During the installation we have entered the Installation Key and after the installation the registration number. Everything seems to be all right. But everytime we start CR it asks for the key with a hint, that the old key is wrong or no more valid! If we enter the key which CR already knows we can do our work with CR but on the next startup we got the same nerving problem again :-(
We have problem on a XP system and a W2K system with formerly verions of CR (8.5 and 9) and on a new installed XP system. Who knows how to solve this problem?

Hi,
Be sure you use an administrative account on the PC when installing CR.
If not, each user, except the one it was installed under, will likely get that message (IIRC).

Hello turkbear thank you for your tip, but we did all installations with an admin account, i've forgotten to mention it in my first post! Another installation on my Home-PC had the same problem, so i think something with the key they have send me must be wrong!

It's probably an issue with how the key is being stored in the PCs Registry settings. Check the following -

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Crystal Reports\Keycodes\CR Pro

hello mjrbim, gor the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Crystal Reports\Keycodes\CR Pro
the exportet Values are:
"THX1138"=dword:caca4d0f
"Version"="10.0.0.5335"
@="1
A5130-4200007-AB200B4
131501727
1637042483
"
"Serial"="7612342315"

I've chanded some digits, but the keys look like that. In the registry the "@" is the standard key. The second line in the @-key is our installation key and the serial is the serial i entered!

If that's all in the key, then it should be working.

I'd suggest a call to BOBJ Tech Support at this point.
