Windows 2000 server
SQL Server 2000
Crystal Enterprise 8
We have installed this version of enterprise on a server, and understand there to be 5 concurrent licenses available. It would appear that you can only use the 5 licenses if all 5 connections are made using the same user/password.
If you try to set up more 'Named Users' using the enterprise administrative tool(s), the website tells you that you cannot connect with any of these as you only have licence for a single named user.
Does anyone know how to overcome this or can you only have one named user with this version? If you can only have one named licence, does anyone know a way to control access/security, such that not every user can see/use every report on the website? Can you incorporate security into the reports themselves?
Apologies for the wealth of questions.
