HELLO WORLD!

Life is great, just completed acceptance testing, production testing, and have move CRYSTAL ENTERPRISE 10 PROFESSIONAL & REPORTS 10 ADVANCED into to a multi-billion dollars production envirnoment. Using ORACLE 8 & 9i, TOAD, SQL and stored procedures. Migrated some 250, 150 which are scheduled or event drived programs throught the testing envirnoments since the start of this new year.

We were able to use the scheduling and event features to push messages and email productions results to business person within the corporation.

Was this a version upgrade or a clean install? Do you use ePortfolio? Was customization different from CE9? Haven't received my copy of CE10 yet from maintenence agreement but hope to have it this week. Looking forward to the auditing features.

I found out the hard way our maintenance agreement is useless except for getting the next release free. Make use you have in place several hours of tech support pre-paid.

I had no real problems except where thing were located and setting that had a strange default. Problems only encountered when using TOPN reports, old data was not being stored, had to change 2 server setting and report settings to correct this issue.

Prior to installing read about setting up audting database and setting the switches to make it all happen.

ePortolio was the same, we had problems adjusting to the new way to enter/save parms and other settings. Just a learning process. The physical foot print on the server was smaller than I expected.
