I have a series of daily Crystal Reports which I manually refresh and export in XLS to an FTP folder. The trick was to get software to do this automatically. We are trialing the Crystal Desk Report Scheduler, which automatically refreshes the reports at the intervals and with the frequency you select. I have had some help since my last post with sorting out the drive mapping problem. With this tool(Crystal Desk) you have to browse to the location you want to send the automatically scheduled, updated reports to. I didn't realize you had to close the application then reopen it in order to refresh the screen when you map to a new drive(so the new drive will appear in the browser).I'm probably not explaining this properly but I'm a new hand at this game and I'm doing my best. In order to access the FTP folder you have to get past a log-in box. What I have to find out is how to automatically get my reports past the log-in box and into the FTP folder.
If you should happen to reply to this post please bear in mind that I am most likely several realms beneath you in the hi-tech order and may not grasp certain things as readily as someone more familiar with the concept. And thanks for your help.
