I have a VB app running against a secure MS Access 2000 database, and use ADO for the main application which works fine.

How do I set up Crystal to talk to the DB? I keep getting 'You have no privs... msgs'. I'd prefer not to use ODBC, but if so - will the ODBC connection be included in the SETUP exe when I package it.

Any ideas? Cheers.

When your installing crystal doesn't it directly interact with Access and under the reports section it ask if you want to use crystal.

Thanks - think Ive answered my own question after fiddling around with the Username/Password and Connect options.

I have a JEt session open within the VB app linked to the Secured DB. Now - when I open the report, I just set the Username and Pasword to their Values for the JET session, and all works fine.

BUT (and there's always a BUT) Seagate KB recommends that the Connect option can be used to lik straight in to the Handle used by the JET session . However - I cant see how to get hold of that Handle.

Not important - because I have a workaround, but its nice to know the neatest way.

Cheers
