Crystal 9.0 is adding blank pages when a report is exported as a pdf. The report prints ok from crystal, but when it is exported to as a pdf, a single blank page appears after each printed page. I have deselected all keep together options and new page before/after options.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

This problem seems to occur when a landscape report is changed to portrait. A nasty little back bar appears at the foot of the pdf page. Change the format to landscape and the problem goes away.

I have had this problem also. It is not just a matter of going from portrait to landscape. If the report was landscape and you switch to portrait you have to make sure that ALL objects are resized to fit the report display. Since the orientation is being changed some objects (lines, headings, fields, special fields, etc.) may be outside the new (portrait) display so you have to make it landscape and resize everything to fit. If this does not do it then also go into section expert and suppress blank sections. In my case I was using a subreport so I had to follow the above steps for both the report and subreport which is what I think may be causing a lot of people problems. DO NOT FORGET THE SUB-REPORT! Let me know how it turns out for you.

If my other solution did not work try this. Suppress the page footer section as a test and try the export. If it exports okay check things like special fields in the fields list box. I found that there was a special field (page #) checked off which means it is in the report, but I could not see it. Try changing the page size (larger - 11 X 17)and orientation (landscape) so you can see more area. Then try to locate the field. I found "page #" on mine hiding all the way to the right side of an 11 X 17 in the report footer. I hope between my 2 solutions you can get yours fixed. Let me know.

You are right on target. There was a page number floating out on the right side of the page footer. The goofy thing is that the report printed fine to paper, but had problems going to pdf.

Thanks
