Crystal 10 crashing when dragging and dropping fields

Hi guys, had a weird problem start today. I've been using Crystal 9 & 10 on a daily basis for a couple of years now - currently using 10.

I created a simple report today and went to drag in a field from the field browser into the report in preview mode, as I normally do and I got the old "Crystal Reports has encountered a problem" message and then it crashes.

Now, the table I was using at the time only has around 20 rows and half a dozen fields! Since that though it affects any report I use.

This happened to me a year or so ago and I can't remember what eventually sorted it out.

Any suggestions?

Sorry....dragging them onto design mode, not preview mode!

And I should have said that I can get the fields into the report by using the Report Design Wizard and I can even move them around design view ok when they are on there.

I just tried Crystal 9 and that works fine, maybe I need to re-install Crystal 10?

OK, I uninstalled an re-installed Crystal 10 and the problem still persists.

I had the same problem with Crystal 9 from dragging and droping lines. I ended up having my windows profile on the server rebuilt. That helped.

I got it sorted now, by having someone else log in my machine and doing it.

weird huh?!
