I have created a Cross Tab in the "Report Footer b" (Report Footer a, is efftively a label printing via some formulas).

The cross tab prints each day that is found in the database as a column. What I want to do is tell the cross tab to print every day, whether it is found in the database or not. I am using V8.5, and there is no Details section printing (supressed), no Groups, but all the Selecting of records is done in the "Selection Expert".

Is this possible?

Thanks ..

Stephen

Stephen-

Crosstabs work that way, no data, no column. The best workarounds that I have found for this are 1) insert a dummy record for each day in your raw data or 2) Use or create a calendar file and pull the dates from that file.

dgillz,

Thanks for the response ..

1/. Is not a option, as the data is from a Rental System, and entering blank dates, is not an option.

2/. Please tell me more or point me in the right direction ..

Thanks ..

Stephen

Stephen,

I'm not talking about entering blank dates, but blank "other data". The dates would have to be populated - one for each column you need - but could be entered in your database with a qty of zero.

Maybe if you told me more about your database I can help.

Also, do not assume that because your application will not let you enter data a certain way, that you cannot force it in there.

dgillz,

The data is exported from a Booking system. So the users are entering bookings for various products, so in a particular week we may have bookings for Mon, Wed, Sat of this week for a particular product.

The files are exported to DBF format and then the template is over the top of that. So the exported files (automatically exported when user ask to look at crystal template file). So the only way to do it would be to have another DBF file on their system, with only dates in it, but the problem their is that their is the possibility that the date DBF could be deleted.

Ideas?
