Cross tab reports for each day

I have crosss tab report which displays dates as cols. and hours worked as rows. My problem is that It picks data wherever there is data base records. I wish to print the days with 0 hours where there are no records

You could do this by adding a DAYS table to your database schema and linking it with your data table using an outer join...

What happens if the report has a group?
i.e., if I want to show total transactions by month for each customer.
I cannot add the customer info in the cross-tab, as there's a whole bunch of data i need to display about the customer...
