Someone in the MS Access forum is developing a database that is being opened by users with Win98, NT and XP. On one of the forms, there is an ActiveX calendar control. In Win98 and NT, the calendar opens with Sunday as the First Day of the Week, but the XP users are seeing Monday as the First Day of the Week.
Anyone have any thoughts what might be the issue? Is there anyway to set a Default First Day of Week in XP?

thanks

Paul

These don't really apply but see if they give you any ideas or clues. The fact that these type of articles exist indicates that these problems seem known to Microsoft so approaching them directly might help you.

Another curiosity along the lines of this question:

Say you want the date to appear in short form:

Weds May 11, 2005

Your ability to do this is completely dependent on the first and last choices you can make on the opening page under Regional and Language settings.

I probably should have posted a link to the other forum so that you could read the post yourselves. Here it is.

I have recommended double checking the regional settings but expect that will not be the issue. It may be related to using an older control (ver. 8.0) with a newer OS (XP). I'm betting we will find that to be the case but won't be sure until they can test it out. Thank you both for your suggestions. I appreciate the time and the trouble it takes to find and post related links.
