Every 15 mins or so Im getting the following alarm:

CRMN001 HIGH Call Reg Usage, Pcnt Used=92, Num Used=608
NumCR=655

Error suggests I increase the number of CRs which requires an INIT.

Firstly, how do I check what current setting is....secondly how do I increase and thirdly what do I do if its already maxed out...?

Any help would be much appreciated as im already up to 92 percent and incresing every 15 mins.

ld 22

req=prt
type = parm and look at the NCR prompt, it set to 655 now, change it to anything between 1000 to 25000 or if you really want to do this properly, review the capicity engineering ntp for the correct amount

you can print them out in ld 22. The type is parm (parmeters), the prompt you are looking for is ncr. There should be a value after it. that would be the number of call registers that are assigned.

To change that value you go to ld 17. However what that value would be is determined by system type and software release.

You need to go to ld 22 and print the iss and your current parms and post them here.

VERSION 3621
81C with P4 processor or a CS1000MG with P4 processor, it's safe to set NCR to 20000 and ini....why on earth it was set to 655 is beyond....

don't forget to ini for the changes to take effect, the ini will also resolve your CR issue, or when it reaches 100% it will ini on its own anyway.

my 81 is pushing high to med usage stations.(hospital)

Thank you all for your input, I have reset my PARM's to:

LPIB 3500
HPIB 3500
NCR 20000

Currently running at 94 pct and seeing the occasional string of FIJI037 alarms too which might suggest the switch is running very tight on resources. INIT not practical at present but if 100pct used then changes will take effect anyway otherwise if I escape today without a crash I will INIT this evening.

Thanks again
