2 Questions

1 - 911 - Is it acceptable to change the ars digit conversion to change the dialed digits 911 (9 for an outside call then 11) to dial 911, in case a user forgets to dial 9-911 ? Is there any reasons not to do this ?

2 - Crisis alert - What is the proper way to setup crisis alert buttons on multiple phones , program a crisis alert button or bridge the button on the console ?

Thanks
Brian

Reply to Question one : I used ars digit conversion. When the system sees 911 the digit conversion changes it to 9911. See example below:

ARS DIGIT CONVERSION REPORT

Location: all

Matching Pattern Min Max Del Replacement String Net Conv ANI Req

11 2 2 2 911 ars n

Question 2 The crisis alert is a button see example below:

BUTTON ASSIGNMENTS
1: call-appr Auto-A/D? y Rg:r 5: directory
2: call-appr Auto-A/D? y Rg:r 6: next
3: call-appr Auto-A/D? y Rg:r 7: call-disp
4: crss-alert 8: off-bd-alm

I hope this helps

We routinely do the following: "ch ars an 1" add an "alrt" entry for "11" just like you have for "911". Give it a route which inserts a "9" in front of the "11".

Or you can put an "11" entry in "ch ars dig 1" remove 2 digits and insert "911". Digit Conversion is before analysis.

You may also create a route which deletes 3 digits and inserts 911 and route the Emergency calls to this route.

Hope this helps.
