When I create a Bootable disc the system does not pick up the scsi drive running my CD drives. As I need the CD drives to access re-loading Windows 98, can any one help? The bootable disc only picks up the oakcdrom.sys file which is of no use to me.

Windows boot dicl only puts a dozen or so cdrom drivers on
it. If you know what driver is uses you can add it to the disk and modify it. What scsi cdrom make and model do you have?

Hi mainegeek(IS/II-MANAGEME)

My cd drive is a Yamaha CRW6414S. I do not know what the driver is. All I know is that it is the one that Windows allocated to it. I have tried to find where the driver is but cannot trace it.

If you need more information let me know.

Did you try using the boot disk or did you just view it to see what was on it?

Are all the drives in your pc scsi or just the CD's.

I did try to use the boot disc but it did not allow access to the CD drive. It did not recognise it. I have also viewed the disc to see what's on it.

Only the CD drive is scsi. As well as the Read/Writer I have a Toshiba DVD RAM drive. The hard drives are IDE.

You will need a SCSI controller driver loaded before you gain access to the CD. Should have been one furnished with the controller. Ed Fair
