I'm trying to make a template in MS Word that will allow my boss to fill out a report on his computer, and then print off on a pre-printed form (one that is really designed to be filled out by hand).

Is there a property that I can set somewhere in word that allows me to prevent selected text from being printed? I've tried hiding it, but that defeats the object of having it there as a layout.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Tools, Options, Print and select Print Data only for forms

Insert Text boxes from the Forms toolbar where you want your boss to type info and Tools, Protection, Prtect Document and check the For Forms Option
