We want to start enforcing the use of OWA vs. pop3 for our remote sales staff however we want to make it is easy as possible. I have experimented with simply creating a desktop shortcut to the OWA URL and it works just fine, but is there a way to populate the username and password field through the shortcut if that users computer is not on the domain and using pass-through authentication? I realize that is not the most secure solution but we would like to limit the necessity for the user to have to enter their credentials if possible even if the computer has never been joined to our domain and is not using a local username and password that matches that on the domain.
