Creating "global" voicemail for everyone in Audix???

Hi,

My CEO would like to advertise a new employee benefit by sending out a voicemail to everyone in the company. I would like information on how he could easily record a voicemail and send it out to everyone that is in our Audix system.

The COS on you CEO's Voice mail box will need to be set up with Broadcast option set to Yes.

Thank you for your help. Just curious, will setting Broadcast=Y in the station screen do the same thing? That away, I will not have to creat a new COS as there are many people on his current COS.

Also, once the broadcast is enabled, how do you tell Audix that you want to send out to everyone? What I've done so far is:

1)add sub 7050 with Broadcast=yes
2)logged into mailbox and set passcode
3)hit 1 to record message
4)Then audix asks "what extension?"

If I want to send to everyone what do you type in here?

Sending a broadcast message

1 Log into your voice mailbox
2 Press1 or 4 to record or review a message
3 Record, edit and address a message
4 press 8 to mark the message as a broadcast.
5 Optional
a. 1 to Make Private
b. 3 Schedule delivery
c. 4 File a copy
6 Press # to approve to message

As far as to COS for broadcast goes. Make a new one for you and the CEO not everyone else.

Okay, the plot thickens on this. Thanks so much for your help.

We have three audix systems and all are seperate systems. Is there a way for the CEO to record a message on his voicemail and then we copy that somehow (extract as a wav or something) and then import it into the other voicemail systems so those people will get the announcement also?

Otherwise, if we can't do this, he'll have to go into three seperate systems and record the announcement.

Does anyone see a better way to do this?

Well you being an admin and all, you would need to make a list (call group)that includes the other voice mail. Your job is to make it easy for the CEO or any trained monkey. Once the list is compiled test your work, before you give it to the monkey.
