Can anyone provide info on creating a DNS record for a OWA server. I've set up OWA 5.5 on a W2K member server within a NT 4.0 domain (our Exchange server resides on a seperate NT 4.0 machine).
Currently, I am accessing the OWA logon page by typing I would like our users to simply type "email" within IE's address field to get to the logon page. I want to provide this feature internally on our LAN only. I will expect our users to type the complete address from home.
How would I create this record? What DNR record type(s) would I select (e.g. A or MX)? How would I create a record that associates a specific page on a server (/exchange/logon.asp) with a name?
I also have this concern, even though we have DNS servers with DNS records I am not sure if we are using DNS or whether it is working properly. Should I use a host file instead, and if so, do I need to put this on all of the clients?
Any help is greatly appreciated..thank you.
