I'm new to Windows 2003 SBS, and need help to prevent particular systems (running critical applications) from accessing the internet. The systems are available to anyone on the floor of the production environment and that cannot change, so I was thinking I could create an OU, give it a name and then configure the OU to prevent those systems within the OU from accessing the internet.

Does this make sense?
If so how would I accomplish this?
Is there a "better" solution?
Thanks

Enter a null proxy address in Internet Explorer Maintenance and apply the policy to a users OU this will prevent I.E from getting onto the net. Make sure that your users don't have the ability to install an alternative browser that would ignore these settings.

A better solution would be your own proxy server but that will cost.

what you've suggested makes sense. thank you Porkchopexpress...
