Creating new user/mailbox - mailbox store blank?

Created a new user to accept mail as postmaster. Go to exchange tasks to create the mailbox. Alias is "postmaster" and it shows the server but the mailbox store dropdown is blank. The stores are all mounted. I remember coming across this before but can't remember why the store is blank. Is it because of the "postmaster" account I created? If anyone could shed some light, I'd appreciate it.

The mailbox won't be generated until a message is sent to it, or it is opened through outlook. Easiest was is to send a message to it.
