I've created a new connection to an sql server and have successfully connected to the server. However, when I click on the (+)Tables icon all I can see is the following system tables : dbo.syssegments, dbo.sysconstraints, dbo.dtproperties. I am not able to see the database tables needed for my reports. Any thoughts on what is causing this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Could be a couple of things.

The most obvious being that you can filter which types of objects are shown by Selecting Options within the data explorer, if the only box checked is system tables, that's your culprit.

Otherwise, this user may not have access to anything but the system tables.

By default the systems tables are not seleceted and the database tables are, and I logged in using an administrator login. Don't quite no what the problem is.

Not sure what you mean by Data Explorer Options. There may be a mask on the database, but I am only given the list of database instances that Crystal finds on the server? How can I make sure that I'm connecting to the correct database instance?

Nope. I don't have any Like arguments listed under Explorer options. I am at loss as to why I can't see the database tables I need for my reports.
