Creating new history file & Nortel VoIP for Dummies 1

Our Hist file was deleted when someone built the 16th TTY port and after deleting one of the 16, I am trying to rebuild the Hist file but keep running into SCH5592 -
History File cannot be configured due to no entry available in the I/O table.

I have a traffic file built and have tried outing that and building the HST with TRF as a user and that doesn't work. Any suggestions?

The other question is a simple one. Can anyone recommend a source equivalent to a "Nortel VoIP for Dummies"?

You build/out that on a paddle board or MSDL? If you built/ deleted tty off msdl, you might have to force download prior to adding hist back to show open I/O port.

The TTY that was deleted was an sdi port on a msdl card. With that being the case, you're saying that I have to do a force download on the MSDL card? how will that affect the other ports? I'd have to check but I think there is a D-Channel or two on there as well.

I think that might be the case, have to get another opinion, but I think you will need to dwnld and with the other devices on there, would have to be after hrs. I'm not 100% sure, but would explain the lack of the system seeing the open I/O

i agree, your going to need to interupt the connections to rebuild that.. i never use the history file.. look at prt sel 500 in 117, not a complete history file but it helps some
