I've been looking everywhere but cannot find a simple, easy to use and more importantly QUICK method of creating an MSI file from an .exe file. Please please can someone out there let me know a package that can create an msi file out of any exe file so I can deploy almost any software from the server via GP. Stars are waiting and am huge thanks for anybody who can solve this Microsoft nightmare.

Stars are waiting"...
tut tut!!!

if you have the 2000 CD (pro or server, i think), you have a 3rd party tool for this...
CDROM = Z: ---> Z:\VALUEADD\3RDPARTY\MGMT\WINSTLE\SWIADMLE.MSI
i tested it for winzip/winrar once and it worked fine.

OK maybe toooo deperate with stars but I'm thinking there is a massive hole in the msi market that needs to be filled here cus WinInstall + others are too clunky - I mean with wininstall you need a machine for taking that before and after image... thats primitive. Any alternative to WinInstall or am I reading Win Install wrong and it is in fact a hot package!!???
