I am trying to create a calendar in Crystal reports 8.5. i am looking to show a meeting name under the date in falls upon. i have drawn a calendar grid using the line control. the calendar1sthalf function does not provide what i need. anyone have any ideas?

There is no easy way, but there are several techniques you can use depending on what you need to do:

Will your calendar show an entire month or just a week?
How many records will be reported on one calendar?
What do you want to print for each day?

You can use a cross-tab to do a rough calendar if you use the row as weekly, and the column as the formula: DayOfWeek({datefield})

This requires that there be at least one record for every week to generate the row.

Or you could hard code 31 conditions (one for each day of the month) and place them in your grid. Ken Hamady

Bryan: My advice would be to use Calendar Creator v7 to do this and import the resultant calendar into your Crystal Report as either an OLE object or an HTML file dependent upon your eventual use. Believe me it's much easier than trying to create it in CR :) David C. Monks
