this is probably easy but could you please let me know.
if I have some lines, all on the one layer and they form a closed area how am I able to fill that area? I have a map in dxf format and I need to fill areas of it with certain colour fills and am not sure how to do it

Thanks

Lance

If your line image on the one layer is a normal "line-type" image, you should be able to simply click on the object, and then click on the "paintcan" icon (image located with the regular set of icons) to fill it with color. Regarding the map, you will have to use the "pen" (also an icon). Select the pen, then draw the separate portions which have to be colored separately. You should also be aware of the "shape tool" icon (the one under the "pick" tool). Use this to re-shape your line to the exact shape you require, and to connect the ends of the line, to form a "complete" shape - which then can be filled with color using the paintcan. Also, double-clicking on your line will activate the "node-edit" window, with options to add/move/delete nodes, ...regards ...Dale Watson
