I'm creating an MDE MS-Access db (tools=>Database Utilities=>Make MDE file...), but once the MDE file is created I can still close the main form and get to all the objects to modify them in my MDE db. This isn't supposed to happen.
I'm overlooking something, do you have any ideas about what I'm doing wrong?

Don

Dear Don,

This maybe a foolish question, but...

After you create your 'mde' from your 'mdb' file, are you closing the original 'mdb' file and then opening the newly created 'mde' file. (try saying that fast ten times)

Note: Reports, forms and VBA code are all protected and hidden when you make an 'mde' file, but queries and table structures can still be modified in an mde unless you use the Access Security model.

Hope This Helps,

Actually objects aren't hidden in an MDE. You can't open these objects (forms, reports, and modules) in design view.
